Who We Are

Because many people are somewhat anxious when they visit a church without knowing something about it, we have prepared this page to help you understand more about us.

Our Purpose

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (MATTHEW 28: 18 - 20)

The Christians who make up the membership of the Lord's church strive to reproduce in our time the purpose, work and worship of the Church of the New Testament. We put our trust in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ and having responded by faith to God's grace through genuine repentance and baptism, and relying on Christ as our High Priest who makes intercession for us. Our ministries and activities derive from God's word, the Bible. We invite all who would follow Christ as Lord to unite with us to bring glory to God and salvation to the lost.

The organization of the congregation, here at Central Avenue, is based on the pattern found in the New Testament, where each local congregation had a plurality of elders or bishops and deacons who helped to carry out the work.

Unlike the thick inner volume of the pear head, this cheap hair extensions gives a feeling of warmth and beauty. When trimming, pay attention to the tail of the real hair extensions must be cut from high to low level, roll up and send it to have this effect. This hair style can be brushed out by a hair extensions dryer and a reel, and it is also possible to use no special hot.

The Worship Is Simple and Biblical

Our services are designed to draw you closer to God and provide an atmosphere that will allow you to worship God in reverence according to His will. "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24).

We strive to be governed by the word of God. You will find us observing only those things contained in it. We shall do our best to duplicate and pattern after the New Testament church in everything we do. Because worship is participation, you are warmly encouraged to join us in each item of worship.

Singing

"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Ephesians 5:19),

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16).

In our song services, no mechanical instruments of music are used. As Christians, striving to follow the examples the churches in the New Testament, we are commanded to sing and make melody in our heart.

To do otherwise is an additional to God?s Will. The songs being sung are intended to stir within each participant, a desire for praise and obedience to God and for spiritual edification to you and others. We encourage you to sing along with us.

Teaching

The teaching is designed to instruct and encourage you in the ways of righteousness.  We trust that you will leave feeling greatly benefited from messages presented from the Bible.

Prayer

The prayers are designed to thank God for His blessings and request His continued care over us.

Contribution

The collection, or contribution, is taken only at Sunday worship service.  At this time, each gives of his means as he has been prospered and he purposed in his heart. This contribution is voluntary and used to further God's cause.

1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: 2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come (I Corinthians 16:1-2).

The Lord?s Supper

7 Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight (Acts 20:7).

Communion is observed just as it was the night of our Lord?s betrayal. The men at the table will give thanks for the bread and pass it through the congregation until each Christian has eaten. They will then take the cup, give thanks, and pass the tray of cups on to each Christian until all drink. This is the focal point of our Christian worship, and we partake of communion each first day of the week.

You Will Never Be Embarrassed

At each service, an invitation song will be sung. Those wishing to become Christians are invited to step forward and let their desires be made known. One who believes in Christ (Hebrews 11:6), repents of his sins (Luke 13:3), confess Christ (Romans 10:9-10), and is baptized into Christ (Galatians 3:26-27) is added to the church (Acts 2:47); and by virtue of this obedience is a recognized member of the Lord?s Church. However, coming before a congregation is not necessary. You may become a Christian anytime, and any Christian will be glad to assist you.

The People Are Christians Only

Many in America are searching for a church. The confusion and division in the religious world has resulted in many names and creeds. We have no creed but Christ, accept no book but the Bible, and wear no name but Christian. We believe that when we follow the Bible only, we will be Christians only.

You Will Always Find a Friendly Home

Solomon said, ?He who would have friends must show himself friendly.? For this reason, the people of this congregation will greet you with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Every visitor at this place is an honored guest. We hope you will visit us in the near future. A cordial invitation is always extended and a gracious welcome always awaits you.
